Wisconsinites Agree: We Cannot Afford 4 More Years of This

Image
This is an opinion column by Kaelan Dorr. She served as Chief Marketing Officer for President Donald Trump's 2020 re-election campaign, and prior to that served as a U.S. Treasury and White House official in the Trump Administration, and on the 2016 Trump Campaign. Recently, Tim Walz said the quiet part out loud, declaring, "We can't afford four more years of this." As Walz and JD Vance face off on the debate stage, this is one thing they will both agree on. As we grapple with skyrocketing inflation, depleting savings accounts, soaring interest rates, and wages unable to keep pace with the financial ruins the Biden-Harris agenda has left us in, Tim Walz is right- we cannot afford four more years of Democrat failed policies. We've heard time and time again that Kamala is from a middle-class family. However, she continues to be oblivious to the consequences of her failed economic policies that impact our families at the grocery store, gas stations, and elect...

Trump Visits the Dane County Lion’s Den [Up Against the Wall]

Image
Yesss! It’s finally going to happen. Brandon Maly, chair of the Republican Party of Dane County, and I have been hounding quite a few different parties for months to get word to Trump to visit the lion’s den, Dane County. This is going to be outstanding. But all the hard work paid off and Trump is going to show up tomorrow Oct. 1 in Waunakee. The left is going to go crazy! The last time a presidential candidate, err, a Republican candidate came to Dane is Bob Dole, and I think that was in 1996. This is a historic event. It takes a lot of guts for a Republican to show his or her face in Dane County. The viciousness of the left here is well-known. They try to destroy anyone who speaks out against them, well, except me because they long ago gave up on attacking me, because like Trump, I’ll just ramp up my counterattacks and fight like hell back. I’m expecting a big turn out at the event, which will be held at a manufacturing facility to symbolize his desire to promote American manuf...

Illegal Immigrant in Milwaukee Killed Special Olympian in Horror Crash

Image
Juan Felix-Avendano, an illegal immigrant from Mexico, was convicted of killing Special Olympian Craig Schimming and injuring his elderly parents as they drove to church in a horrific drunk-and-drugged driving crash in Milwaukee on New Year's Day 2023. He had smoked crystal meth and was so intoxicated that he didn’t even remember leaving his house, according to a criminal complaint. The “speedometer was stuck at 110 mph." He is currently in a Wisconsin prison. News stories on the crash did not mention that he was a noncitizen, although they did mention that he was an "unlicensed driver." A GoFundMe page was set up to help the Schimming family. See it here. Each day, from Sept. 25 through the presidential election, we tell you about a non-citizen currently in a Wisconsin jail who is accused of committing a horrific crime. ICE placed immigration detainers on each of them. We are highlighting a range of serious crimes . In most cases, they are people curren...

Schools Closed During COVID-19. New Research Shows They're Not Coming Back

Image
(The Center Square) – New research shows that school enrollment has declined in over 5,000 public schools in the U.S., suggesting families are rejecting traditional schools because of the pandemic. The Fordham Institute's new study , conducted by researcher Sofoklis Goulas from the Brookings Institution, released Wednesday, found that families were over twice as likely to leave low-performing public schools. “These declines do not seem to be explained by declining birth rates or any changes in the enrollment of charter schools or private schools,” Goulas said. “There is something else going on.” The enrollment declines aren’t random, which leads Goulas to suspect that students aren’t just missing but instead are seeking alternatives. “This new research allows us to see whether these declines are random across schools or whether it could be something related to the efficacy,” Goulas said. “And we find that the big low-performing schools experience larger enrollment decl...

Trump also is continuing to lead his Democratic challenger, Vice President Kamala Harris, according to the poll published by the Texas Hispanic Policy Foundation. Trump holds a six-point lead over Harris, 50% to 44%. “Harris and Trump are effectively tied among Hispanic likely voters (49% vs. 43%),” the report states. Trump’s “strength among Texas Hispanic likely voters continues to show a striking resilience,” TxHPF CEO Jason Villalba said. The split represents a 10-point drop among Texas Hispanic likely voters who favored President Joe Biden in the 2020 election. Trump has also gained support from likely Black voters in Texas. ‘Stunning failure:’ Senate Report Blasts Secret Service

Image
(The Center Square) – A bipartisan Senate report released Wednesday blasts the U.S. Secret Service for several significant failures that led to the near-fatal assassination attempt against former President Donald Trump in Butler County, Pennsylvania, over the summer. The report indicates that security knew the shooter was on the roof minutes before Trump was shot. Meanwhile, a bill that would increase the Secret Service protection for former President Donald Trump and his running mate, Sen. J.D. Vance, now awaits President Joe Biden’s signature. The new Senate report lays out a litany of failures from the Secret Service, including failure to delegate responsibilities to agents and officers, failure to keep the key buildings cleared, failure to work will with local law enforcement, who were helping with security, and more. The report includes a list of failures, including that the Secret Service did not properly respond after the would-be assassin was identified as a suspi...

In Prairie du Chien, Trump Pledges to Get Illegal Immigrant Criminals Out of the Country

Image
Speaking in small-town Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin, where a noncitizen is accused of violently attacking a mother and her daughter, former President Donald Trump vowed to end sanctuary cities and "liberate Wisconsin from this mass migrant invasion" of murderers, rapists, and other illegal immigrant criminals. "On November 15, you have to vote for Trump because we’re not going to let it happen," Trump said, standing next to Congressman Derrick Van Orden and Patty Morin. An illegal immigrant is accused of murdering Morin's daughter Rachel in a Maryland park while she was jogging, and she implored Wisconsin voters to vote for Trump. "I really do believe he's going to close our borders," she said, describing her daughter as being "the American mom. She took care of her kids. She worked hard. And because of the open border, her life was taken away." Every day until the election, Wisconsin Right Now has been reporting on a different c...

Honduran Citizen Repeatedly Raped 6-Year-Old Fitchburg Girl, Complaint Says | Biden-Harris Criminal Immigration Files

Image
In one of the sickest criminal complaints you could ever read, Honduran citizen WILLIAMS J A MONGE is accused of repeatedly raping a 6-year-old girl in Fitchburg, Wisconsin, leaving her bloodied and in so much pain that she “felt like she was dying/going to die." There is an ICE detainer on him in the Dane County Jail. Each day, from Sept. 25 through the presidential election, we tell you about a non-citizen currently in a Wisconsin jail who is accused of committing a horrific crime. ICE placed immigration detainers on each of them. We are highlighting a range of serious crimes . ICE detainers require ICE to demonstrate that it has determined “that probable cause exists that the subject is a removable alien.” The media tends to censor illegal immigrant crimes. We would note that the Dane County Jail does not honor all ICE detainers (but does honor some) and is listed as a noncooperative jurisdiction by ICE. Right now, the case of a non-citizen Venezuelan gang member a...

Minnesota 'Sanctuary' Jail Freed Noncitizen Gang Member Accused in Prairie du Chien Attack

Image
A fuller timeline in the case of Alejandro Coronel-Zarate raises serious questions about Madison and Minneapolis police. Since the alleged Venezuelan gang member crossed the border in 2023, he's left a trail of abused females in his wake. Why didn't anyone tell ICE? A Minnesota jail took alleged Tren de Aragua Venezuelan gang member Alejandro Coronel-Zarate into custody for almost three days but freed him into the community even though Madison police had already established probable cause that the noncitizen choked, beat, and threatened to burn and kill a terrified Madison woman, new records obtained by Wisconsin Right Now show. The Hennepin County Sheriff's Department - which has a "sanctuary" policy of not cooperating with ICE and is located in a sanctuary county - released Coronel-Zarate, 26, of Venezuela, on Nov. 20, 2023, even though court records show that Madison police had already obtained the key evidence that was eventually used to issue felony ...

More Than 13,000 Non-Citizen Murderers Are in the United States, ICE Says

Image
More than 13,000 non-citizens convicted of murder are currently in the United States, ICE confirmed in a September 25, 2024, letter to a U.S. Congressman. The letter also reveals the scope of non-citizen criminality in the U.S., at least those people identified by ICE. According to ICE, as of July 21, 2024, " there were 662,566 noncitizens with criminal histories on ICE’s national docket which includes those detained by ICE and on the agency’s non-detained docket." Of those, 435,719 are convicted criminals, and 226,847 have pending criminal charges, he wrote. The report comes on the heels of Wisconsin Right Now's new series, which is profiling a non-citizen accused of a serious crime in the battleground state every day until the election. Our first stories profiled an accused rapist , child molester , and attempted murderer. The killers are just one category on the ICE list. ICE says in the letter that it has identified the following noncitizen criminals: ...

Non-Citizen ‘Disemboweled’ Man, Led Police on Dangerous Chase, Complaint Says | Biden-Harris Criminal Immigration Files

Image
NELSON W MIJANGO SANTOS is accused of partially “disemboweling” a man with a silver folding knife in a Madison parking lot after telling him, “Do you want to die?” and “Do you want to see the devil with me?”  The victim’s intestines were hanging out of his stomach. Santos then led police on a dangerous pursuit that ended when he produced a possibly fake firearm that he pointed at officers and a machete-like sword, stabbing himself repeatedly after demanding that officers shoot him, the complaint says. He is being held in the Dane County Jail on an ICE  immigration hold. At the time of the stabbing, he was out on two $500 signature bonds for repeat drunk driving and operating after revocation in Dane County. Each day, from Sept. 25 through the presidential election, we tell you about a non-citizen currently in a Wisconsin jail who is accused of committing a horrific crime. ICE placed immigration detainers on each of them. We are highlighting a range of serious crimes . Ri...
