Bob Donovan Calls Milwaukee's New Mask Mandate '99% Useless'

Milwaukee Mayoral candidate Bob Donovan opposes the City of Milwaukee's new mask mandate, releasing a press release titled, "FOLLOW THE SCIENCE, FOLKS— MILWAUKEE'S NEW CLOTH MASK MANDATE IS 99% USELESS!" The Milwaukee Common Council is requiring those age three and older to wear masks inside Milwaukee businesses until March 2022. Donovan, a former city alderman, is a candidate for Milwaukee mayor. "So I don't get into trouble with Facebook regarding my opinion over the likelihood of a new cloth mask mandate in the City of Milwaukee, I will quote only liberal media sources to back up my position," Donovan said. Here is the rest of Donovan's press release: "Cloth masks are little more than facial decorations. There's no place for them in light of Omicron," CNN medical analyst Dr. Leana Wen, an emergency physician and visiting professor of health policy and management at the George Washington University Milken Institute School of ...

Wisconsin Bail Reform Bill Would Require $10,000 Bond in Some Cases

Image
State Sen. Julian Bradley (R-Franklin) and Rep. Chuck Wichgers (R-Muskego) have announced a Wisconsin bail reform package in the wake of the Waukesha parade attack. In part, the bill would require a minimum bond of at least $10,000 for defendants who have previously committed a felony or violent misdemeanor. Bradley told Wisconsin Right Now: "Community safety has to be a factor as our state considers the flight risk of criminals. Currently, Wisconsin lives are in danger because of the low bail that soft-on-crime judges and DAs are setting. This revolving door for criminals must end. We must bring accountability and transparency to the court system to ensure serial criminals don't continually have the opportunities to put our communities and families in harm's way." He added: "Governor Evers took no time to investigate Milwaukee District Attorney John Chisholm after the tragedy in Waukesha where a criminal Chisholm let loose killed six people. The absolute mi...

John Chisholm: Darrell Brooks Was NOT an Aberration, Here's Why [AUDIO]

Image
Milwaukee County DA John Chisholm’s office has failed to protect public safety well before the Darrell Brooks case. He refused to prosecute about 60% of felony charges last year. The jail population has plummeted, despite rising crime. Furthermore, when we confronted him with questions in the courthouse hallway, he admitted backlogs in his office and revealed that the system has been sending thousands of offenders "summons" to show up in court, instead of booking them into the jail. We've got it on audio. Milwaukee County District Attorney John Chisholm is trying to pretend the low bail for Waukesha parade suspect Darrell Brooks was an aberration. However, Wisconsin Right Now has repeatedly demonstrated over the past year through investigative stories (rounded up below) how his office - and other Democratic leaders in Wisconsin - have endangered public safety by not holding repeat criminals accountable. The Democratic DA's soft-on-crime approach has escalat...

Men Accused of Throwing Explosive at Milwaukee Cops Given Signature Bonds

Image
There was a day in Milwaukee when injuries to police officers were treated seriously. That day appears to have passed. Here's the latest in the Milwaukee police explosives case: Two of the three men who are accused of throwing a powerful explosive at two Milwaukee police officers on Water Street, injuring them, were given signature bonds by two different Milwaukee court commissioners, David Sweet and Rosa Barillas. A third man accused of throwing an explosive in another incident not involving police was also given a signature bond, Wisconsin Right Now has learned. Signature bonds mean that a person can walk out of the jail without putting up any cash. Their signature is all that's needed to be released. It's part of a national trend toward "bail reform." There was a day in Milwaukee when injuries to police officers were treated more seriously. That day appears to have passed.
