Illegal Border Crossings Surpass 12.5 Million Since Biden-Harris Took Office

U.S. Customs and Border Protection released monthly border apprehension data on Friday, saying, “statistics show lowest southwest border encounters in nearly four years.” CBP also claimed illegal border crossings were down by 34% from June to July and the drop is due to a presidential proclamation issued in June. Troy Miller, a senior official performing the duties of the CBP Commissioner, said  recent Biden-Harris policies led “to the lowest number of encounters along the southwest border in more than three years.” Despite these claims, the total number of apprehended illegal border crossers surpassed 10.5 million in July with two months left in the fiscal year, which ends Sept. 30. That number excludes 2 million gotaways, those who illegally entered and evaded capture, bringing the total number to more than 12.5 million. That is greater than the individual populations of 45 states. If illegal border crossers were a state, they’d be the sixth most populous state ahead of Ill

More Than 11 Million Illegals Have Entered U.S. Since Fiscal 2021

According to U.S. Customs and Border protection data , 9.4 million foreign nationals illegally entered the U.S. in fiscal years 2021, 2022, 2023 and through the end of February 2024. Including another more than 2 million gotaways, reported by The Center Square, combined, they total an estimated 11.4 million, more than the population of 43 U.S. states. They also total more than the population of all individual U.S. cities, including the largest city of New York City, and are greater than the populations of roughly 150 countries. With February’s record 256,094 illegal border crossers, and more than 120,000 gotaways in the first quarter of fiscal 2024, the number of illegal border crossers in fiscal 2024 through February total more than 1.6 million, the highest in U.S. history. Record numbers came through in the first quarter of fiscal 2024 both at the northern and southwest borders, the highest of any quarter and per month in U.S. history. If fiscal 2024 numbers conti

Multiple Border Crossings Closed by Possible 'Terror Attack' at Niagara Falls Rainbow Bridge

Multiple border crossings are closed and two are dead after a vehicle explosion Wednesday on the Niagara Falls Rainbow Bridge connecting Canada and the United States. Multiple reports say law enforcement sources are investigating as a possible terrorist attack. The explosion occurred at or near a toll checkpoint, the car was traveling at a high rate of speed, and both occupants in the vehicle were killed. The afternoon before Thanksgiving Day, all four border crossings in western New York were closed. No motive was immediately conveyed by federal or state authorities. There were no other reports of additional injuries on the bridge or surrounding area. It is unclear what precipitated the explosion. The FBI confirmed the explosion and coordinated the investigation with state and local lawmen. “The FBI Buffalo Field Office is investigating a vehicle explosion at the Rainbow Bridge, a border crossing between the U.S. and Canada in Niagara Falls,” the FBI said in a release.

Border Patrol Records Another Record High of Apprehensions, Encounters at Southern Border in May

The last two months alone equals roughly the size of the population of Montana. U.S. Customs and Border Patrol published official data Thursday for apprehensions and encounters May: the highest monthly total in recorded U.S. history of 239,416. CBP published the data after The Center Square published preliminary numbers received from a Border Patrol agent. Official numbers include both Border Patrol and Office of Field Operations data of people entering the U.S. illegally at all ports of entry. Despite President Joe Biden, Department of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas and CBP Chief Chris Magnus arguing that the border is closed, that Title 42 is being enforced, and that it is complying with the Remain in Mexico policy, more people entered the U.S. illegally in May 2022 than any month recorded in U.S. history. And the numbers are only going up. In April, CBP reported 235,478 total encounters/apprehensions; in March, 222,239; in February, 165,902; in January,

Southern Border Arrests: 8,691 Criminals Including Repeat Sex Offenders in the Last 10 Months

The Biden administration directed Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) to cancel Operation Talon, a nationwide operation conducted by ICE to remove convicted sex offenders illegally in the U.S. Over the past 10 months, U.S. Customs and Border Patrol agents have made 8,691 southern border arrests of known criminals who have entered the U.S. illegally. Combined, they have committed 12,685 crimes in the U.S., according to federal data. Because Border Patrol agents do not have access to criminal records from other countries, they rely on information reported in the National Crime Information Center database. Many southern border arrests made by the Border Patrol are registered sex offenders who were previously convicted and served time in U.S. prisons. They were released and deported only to reenter the U.S. again illegally this year.
