The U.S. Supreme Court blocks President Joe Biden's vaccine mandates for private businesses in a closely watched decision that will affect millions of Americans. According to NBC , the Biden administration's sweeping rule would have given "more than two-thirds of the country's workforce" two months to make sure their employees were fully vaccinated or tested weekly. The Supreme Court struck down that new regulation in a 6-3 vote. However, in a 5-4 decision, the court left standing a mandate for medical facilities. Ron Kind, a Democrat from western Wisconsin, claimed COVID-19 prevented him from traveling to Washington D.C. to vote on major bills but still found a way to eat ice cream in La Crosse with President Joe Biden. "While millions of Wisconsinites went to work on Tuesday, Ron Kind played hooky from his responsibilities in Washington -- claiming that he had to miss House votes because of COVID when he was actually getting ice cream with Joe Biden," the state of Wisconsin Republican Party said in a statement, releasing the above photo.
