We now have the names of four men accused of arson and vandalism in the Kenosha riots: Devon Vaughn, Allen King, David Garner, and Kevin Martinez. According to a federal complaint , Allen King, David Garner, and Kevin Martinez "traveled together from Minnesota to Kenosha on August 24, 2020. The complaint alleges that while in Kenosha, King and Garner attempted to set fires at a bar. King, Garner, and Martinez also looted and damaged other establishments in Kenosha, including a pharmacy and a gas station. The complaint further alleges that all three men described their illegal activities on social media, with King and Garner attempting to sell the stolen controlled substances over that same platform." In the second case, Devon Vaughn "is charged with arson, in relation to the fire at B&L Office Furniture in Kenosha." The Wisconsin Institute for Law and Liberty has sent a letter to Wisconsin School Boards, administrators and parents criticizing a letter by the American Civil Liberties Union that WILL believes falsely tells school districts that they are required to teach students about race and "related matters of cultural diversity." The warring letters emerged in the midst of growing debate and controversy throughout the state over the teaching of critical race theory or CRT. Here's the latest in the Milwaukee police explosives case: Two of the three men who are accused of throwing a powerful explosive at two Milwaukee police officers on Water Street, injuring them, were given signature bonds by two different Milwaukee court commissioners, David Sweet and Rosa Barillas. A third man accused of throwing an explosive in another incident not involving police was also given a signature bond, Wisconsin Right Now has learned. Signature bonds mean that a person can walk out of the jail without putting up any cash. Their signature is all that's needed to be released. It's part of a national trend toward "bail reform." Dane County Fair fights wrecked the evening, but there were no arrests. The Dane County Fair is closing early at 7:30 p.m. and will require juveniles to be accompanied by an adult after a Friday night marred by a series of fights among juveniles in which a sheriff's deputy was hit in the face. But no arrests were made, and the decision to combat the violence and disorder by wrecking the fair for law-abiding people isn't sitting well with fairgoers who are venting about the decision on social media.
