Darrell Brooks Had Georgia Arrest, Nevada Warrant While Out on Milwaukee Bail

Image
Serious felony charges didn't keep him in jail and a "congested" court system delayed trial. Now it turns out that Darrell Brooks got in trouble in Georgia but remained out on $500 bail from Milwaukee County. It keeps getting worse. It turns out that Waukesha parade suspect Darrell Brooks was arrested in Georgia for battery (family violence) in May 2021 - WHILE he was out on $500 in a Milwaukee felony shooting case. Yet nothing happened to him here; in fact, even after he was accused of a new felony in Milwaukee County a few days before the Waukesha parade attack - for running a woman over in a gas station - Brooks was released again, this time on $1,000 bail. That's not all. It turns out that Brooks was also wanted on an active warrant out of Nevada since 2016 for being a non-compliant registered sex offender. Both of these revelations came up in court on Nov. 23, 2021, as District Attorney Sue Opper argued successfully for a $5 million bail against Brooks. ...

John Chisholm: Darrell Brooks Was NOT an Aberration, Here's Why [AUDIO]

Image
Milwaukee County DA John Chisholm’s office has failed to protect public safety well before the Darrell Brooks case. He refused to prosecute about 60% of felony charges last year. The jail population has plummeted, despite rising crime. Furthermore, when we confronted him with questions in the courthouse hallway, he admitted backlogs in his office and revealed that the system has been sending thousands of offenders "summons" to show up in court, instead of booking them into the jail. We've got it on audio. Milwaukee County District Attorney John Chisholm is trying to pretend the low bail for Waukesha parade suspect Darrell Brooks was an aberration. However, Wisconsin Right Now has repeatedly demonstrated over the past year through investigative stories (rounded up below) how his office - and other Democratic leaders in Wisconsin - have endangered public safety by not holding repeat criminals accountable. The Democratic DA's soft-on-crime approach has escalat...

That was years before the Waukesha Christmas Parade massacre with a repeat offender who was released on bail so low even the DA himself now says it was inappropriate . But back in 2007, he promised his approach to the criminal justice system would result in someone going out and killing somebody. Five people died and 48 people were injured in the Waukesha Christmas Parade horror. "Is there going to be an individual I divert, or I put into treatment program, who's going to go out and kill somebody?" John Chisholm said in a 2007 interview with the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel . "You bet. Guaranteed. It's guaranteed to happen. It does not ...
