Rebecca Kleefisch Endorsed by Majority of Wisconsin's Sheriffs

Perhaps they remember Tony Evers dawdling while Kenosha burned and throwing law enforcement under the bus.... Republican gubernatorial candidate Rebecca Kleefisch has received the endorsement of the majority of Wisconsin's sheriffs. In a press release, her campaign called her "the tough-on-crime leader Wisconsin needs to clean up our streets. That’s why today she’s pleased to announce the endorsement of the majority of Wisconsin’s Sheriffs, further cementing her position as law enforcement’s choice for Governor of Wisconsin." (Note: we previously explained how Evers failed the community of Kenosha. But he's never missed a chance to rush to judgment against police...) “I am humbled to have the support of the majority of Wisconsin’s Sheriffs in our fight to take back Wisconsin," Kleefisch noted. "Unlike Tony Evers, I’ll support law enforcement and ensure that the brave men and women who protect our communities have the tools they need to keep Wisconsin families safe. We need a governor who will stand up for law and order instead of allowing lawlessness to go unchecked.” These 39 Sheriffs join the more than 2,500 members of the Wisconsin Fraternal Order of Police and the more than 1,400 members of the Milwaukee Police Association in their support for Rebecca for Governor. Here are some of the quotes from sheriffs released by the campaign: Sheriff Eric Severson, Waukesha County:  “Rebecca stands with law enforcement as we work to protect our communities. We need strong leaders who will acknowledge and support law enforcement’s efforts. That’s why she has my full support as she runs for Governor of Wisconsin.” Sheriff David Beth, Kenosha County:  “Rebecca Kleefisch is law enforcement’s choice for Wisconsin governor because she will always back the badge and support the rule of law. We need Rebecca Kleefisch in charge to get Wisconsin back on track.” Sheriff Jim Johnson, Ozaukee County:  “Wisconsinites can trust Rebecca Kleefisch to back the badge and give law enforcement the tools we need to keep our communities safe. There is no better candidate for Wisconsin governor than Rebecca Kleefisch.” Sheriff Martin Schulteis, Washington County:  “Law enforcement needs a champion in the governor’s office. I’m proud to support Rebecca for governor because she knows what officers deal with each day and will always have our back.” Sheriff Dale Schmidt, Dodge County:  “My endorsement for the next Governor of our State goes to Rebecca Kleefisch. Governor Evers, like Attorney General Kaul, has turned his back on law enforcement and as a result turned his back on our communities. Rebecca Kleefisch will bring us back to where we need to be.” Sheriff Kurt Picknell, Walworth County: “Rebecca has a proven track record of working with and supporting law enforcement to keep our communities safe. I’m proud to endorse her for Governor of Wisconsin.” List of Sheriffs Endorsing Rebecca Kleefisch for Governor Sheriff Todd Delain, Brown County Sheriff Michael Schmidtknecht, Buffalo County Sheriff Mark Weigert, Calumet County Sheriff Scott Haines, Clark County Sheriff Roger Brandner, Columbia County Sheriff Dale Schmidt, Dodge County Sheriff Kevin Bygd, Dunn County Sheriff Ron Cramer, Eau Claire County Sheriff Nate Dreckman, Grant County Sheriff Mark Podoll, Green Lake County Sheriff Brent Oleson, Juneau County Sheriff David Beth, Kenosha County Sheriff Matthew Joski, Kewaunee County Sheriff Jeff Wolf, La Crosse County Sheriff Mark Westen, Langlade County Sheriff Ken Schneider, Lincoln County Sheriff Dan Hartwig, Manitowoc County Sheriff Scott Parks, Marathon County Sheriff Joe Konrath, Marquette County Sheriff Wes Revels, Monroe County Sheriff Grady Hartman, Oneida County Sheriff Clint Kriewaldt, Outagamie County Sheriff Jim Johnson, Ozaukee County Sheriff Joel Wener, Pepin County Sheriff Brent Waak, Polk County Sheriff Brian Schmidt, Price County Sheriff Chris Schmaling, Racine County Sheriff Jeff Wallace, Rusk County Sheriff Chip Meister, Sauk County Sheriff Adam Bieber, Shawano County Sheriff Cory Roeseler, Sheboygan County Sheriff Scott Knudson, St. Croix County Sheriff Larry Woebbeking, Taylor County Sheriff Joe Fath, Vilas County Sheriff Kurt Picknell, Walworth County Sheriff Martin Schulteis, Washington County Sheriff Eric Severson, Waukesha County Sheriff John Matz, Winnebago County Sheriff Shawn Becker, Wood County
