Waukesha County Sheriff Eric Severson Announces Re-election Campaign

Waukesha County Sheriff Eric Severson Announced today that he is running for re-election. In a statement released to WRN, Severson said, "I have had the honor of serving my community as Waukesha County Sheriff for the past seven years. I have also been privileged to serve in law enforcement for over 37 years, 30 of which include supervisory and command experience in the Waukesha County Sheriff’s Office. Today our law enforcement faces some of the greatest challenges in its history and needs experienced leadership more than ever. I am proud to announce that I am seeking to serve another term as your Sheriff. I seek re-election because I am dedicated to making our community a safer place to live, work, and raise a family. I take my public service seriously and am completely loyal to our community. My leadership team has worked tirelessly and built a professional, dedicated, and service-oriented sheriff’s office. An important part of being a good sheriff is representing Waukesha County’s interests at State and National levels, while also understanding and focusing on local issues. I have been honored by our nations sheriffs to represent them as a board member at the National Sheriffs Association, where I proudly serve on the Government Affairs and the Homeland Security committees. The Badger State Sheriffs have come to rely on me at the State level, where I serve on the legislative committee and am frequently asked to assist our state’s sheriffs on a variety of issues. Being respected by state and National sheriffs does not come automatically upon election. It takes knowledge, experience, and respect that is built over a lifetime of service. I am the candidate with that experience. I respectfully ask the citizens I serve to allow me to continue the important work I do for our great community." The Primary election is August 9, 2022 and the general election will be November 8, 2022.
