Milwaukee Police Breaking News - Search For Fatal Hit & Run Suspect

Milwaukee Police are attempting to identify and locate the suspect and vehicle wanted in connection to a fatal hit and run that occurred on Saturday, September 23, 2023, at approximately 1:55 a.m., on the 2100 block of W. Canal St. The suspect vehicle is described as an unknown 2018-2020 white SUV, possibly a Kia Sportage. The suspect vehicle struck a pedestrian that was crossing the street. The unknown driver fled the scene in the vehicle. The City of Wauwatosa has instructed city workers that they should avoid using red and green in public spaces to celebrate Christmas. Tony Evers' Appointee's Parolee Is Person of Interest in Elkhorn Homicides

One of the criminals freed by Gov. Tony Evers' appointee on the state Parole Commission is now a person of interest in the double homicide of Gina and Emerson Weingart in an Elkhorn bar. So far, police have not confirmed the name, although they revealed on Monday that a person of interest is in custody. The Weingarts were both found shot to death inside the Sports Page Barr in Elkhorn in a crime that has shocked the community.
